Being a Public Relations Director evaluates and authorizes all forms of communication regarding the organization for release to the public. Develops press releases, white papers and supporting materials. Additionally, Public Relations Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Public Relations Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Public Relations Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.      What are seeking: Strong Account Director Public Relations leader who specialize in B2B PR with experience in real estate, law, or professional services at large. Crisis and issues management experience is a plus. Must have PR agency experience, with 8 years in the industry.

     Real estate: Seeking a candidate with experience working with accounts in the residential and/or multifamily industries (e.g. real estate developers, brokerages, apartment developers and property managers, Realtor associations, and/or real estate investment firms, etc.)

     Professional services: Seeking a candidate with experience working with law firms primarily; other professional services are a plus, such as accounting and wealth management firms.

     Skills:

    • Strong media relations background with proven ability to earn tier-one media coverage (particularly within the last year)
    • Lead and manage account and account teams autonomously with strong client communications and client relationship building
    • Demonstrated ability to craft strategic, integrated earned media plans
    • Experience leading and coaching junior team members
    • Must have stellar writing skills and adherence to AP-Style guidelines
    • Ability to be flexible, resourceful, creative, accountable, organized, confident and a self-starter
    • Desire to work in a 100% remote work environment
