Being a Quarry Superintendent establishes blasting patterns and general and preventative maintenance programs for the quarry operations. Manages budgets and ensures long-term availability of raw goods for production needs. Additionally, Quarry Superintendent may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Quarry Superintendent typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Position Overview:
A Project Superintendent at JGM plans and safely executes work activities, while providing technical assistance to the team. You will work directly with clients, Project Managers, and the Field Operations Manager to establish a solid understanding of project strategy and specifications. The environment for this role is flexible, constantly changing, and provides growth opportunity, recognition and reward for the achievement of business results.
Principal Responsibilities:
Continually plans work so that team can safely and efficiently put high quality work in place. Oversee construction efforts to ensure project is constructed in accordance with budget, schedule, and specifications while optimization, and tracking progress of projects. Interface with clients and operations team. Coordinate and communicate details of projects, while offering guidance to team members regarding project procedures and safety requirements. Delegate responsibilities, continuously trains and develops future foreman and superintendents while providing constant constructive feedback. Manage multiple crafts foreman and disciplines. Read and interpret blueprint drawings and specifications. Projects manpower needs, maintains a rolodex of skilled craftsman, and assists and hires to meet the project needs.
