Account Manager develops relationships with smaller to mid-sized clients to increase revenue. Pursues relationships with potential new accounts and identifies business opportunities to upsell services/products to current and new businesses. Being an Account Manager drives retention and growth among customers by understanding their business needs and helping them succeed. Has detailed knowledge of products and services offered and ensures that products and services consistently meet client needs. Additionally, Account Manager maintains a cadence of communicating with customers to ensure client satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal. Advises internal teams on product and service improvements/suggestions based on client feedback. Provides sales quotes and responds to requests for proposals. May support higher-level account managers working with larger accounts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Account Manager work is closely managed.   • Duties:

    The non-negotiable annual salary for this position is $48,776.00 NAGE, Unit 1, Grade 13, Step 1.

    Responsible for composing and preparing correspondence, memos, reports, directives, in a timely and efficient manner. Answer all telephone inquiries to the Director of Security’s Office. Take accurate phone messages and take meeting minutes for the Director of Security. Maintain accurate and current files. Schedule all attorney/incarcerated individual meetings and maintain/schedule incarcerated individual visiting. Maintain all visiting records as well as electronic video visit system. Serve as facility's liaison with the Personnel Department. Responsible for maintaining a tracking system for all documentation for the Director of Security’s office. Exercise and maintain sound judgement and maintain confidentiality in handling all confidential material/information. Maintain numbered correspondence logs and ensure timely responses. Fill in behind all Office Support Specialists during absence. Assist in scheduling with Property appointments and processing orders. All other duties as required.

The Massachusetts Department of Correction shall not hire anyone who may have direct contact with offenders, who has engaged in sexual abuse in a prison or other institution as defined in 42 U.S.C. 1997; or has been convicted of engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse, or has been civilly or administratively adjudicated to have engaged in the activity described in the above paragraph. The agency shall consider any incidents of sexual harassment in determining whether to hire anyone who may have contact with offenders or residents.


    Qualifications
    First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days.

    Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office work, or (B) and equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below:

    I. A diploma as evidence of graduation from the commercial or business course of a recognized high school or vocational/technical high school may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience. *

    II. A diploma as evidence of graduation from a course other than the commercial or business course of a recognized high school or vocational/technical high school or possession of a Massachusetts high school equivalency certificate may be substituted for a maximum of eight months of the required experience. *

    III. A diploma for completion of a one year, full-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized, non-degree granting business or secretarial school above the high school level may be substituted for a maximum or one year of the required experience. *

    IV. A diploma for completion of a two-year, full-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized, non-degree granting business or secretarial school above the high school level may be substituted for two years of the required experience.*

    • Education toward such a degree or diploma will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
