Account Manager develops relationships with smaller to mid-sized clients to increase revenue. Pursues relationships with potential new accounts and identifies business opportunities to upsell services/products to current and new businesses. Being an Account Manager drives retention and growth among customers by understanding their business needs and helping them succeed. Has detailed knowledge of products and services offered and ensures that products and services consistently meet client needs. Additionally, Account Manager maintains a cadence of communicating with customers to ensure client satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal. Advises internal teams on product and service improvements/suggestions based on client feedback. Provides sales quotes and responds to requests for proposals. May support higher-level account managers working with larger accounts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Account Manager work is closely managed.   • Job Summary: 

    As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for fulfilling the contracted scope of work for accounts within a geographic area including Customer Service, supervision of staff, hiring, training, budgeting, and reporting.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide high level of customer service and account management to several facilities, taking all action necessary to ensure completion of required work, according to contract scope, company policy and direction of Senior Director of Operations.
    • Effectively manage and train work crews (including Area Supervisors/Leads) assigned to various locations and take all action(s) necessary to keep proper staffing, including but not limited to advertising, training, budgeting, scheduling and discipline/discharge all employees in assigned locations.
    • Complete and submit all required paperwork, including but not limited to quality reports, signoffs, summary sheets, schedules, and timesheets from time management system.
    • Regularly communicate with Senior Director of Operations to keep him/her up to date on the status of sites; as well as communicate with Facility managers on the scope of services.
    • Timely share information with corporate office personnel regarding all work-related injuries, claims of discrimination, harassment and other human resource matters, properly complete accident investigation reports.
    • Ensure that all needed supplies and necessary equipment are available and in working condition for assigned worksites.
    • Knows and follows all safety rules and proper procedures associated with the responsibilities of the job.
    • Generate new sales opportunities while developing partnerships with local accounts and companies.
    • Properly maintain and account for any equipment assigned to their territory.
    • Maintain a professional appearance and dress while representing the company.
    • Overtime required, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
    • 75% consist of traveling
    • Monitor and update daily time keeping software
    • Perform Monthly QC inspection via QC Portal.

     

    Skills and Education Requirements:

    • Floor care or janitorial management experience
    • Carpet care and cleaning; stripping/cleaning/buffing of floor types; floor care chemicals; operation of floor care equipment.
    • Thoroughness, dependability, tact and courtesy; ability to work in a team environment and good judgment.
    • General knowledge of computer software.
    • Effective communicator with customers, as well as with internal corporate personnel.
    • Organized, proven problem-solving abilities, and ability to multi-task, and prioritize job responsibilities.
    • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus 
    • EPAY Systems knowledge is a plus.
    • Clean Telligent Software knowledge is a plus.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This job may require lifting of objects that exceed 50 lbs., with frequent lifting and or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Other physical demands that are required are, reaching, climbing, stooping and or kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, writing, and seeing.

    *Must possess a valid state driver’s license to fulfill the duties of this position, as significant travel between accounts is required. Reliable transportation to allow for necessary travel to various accounts within the assigned territory is required.
