Education : Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with major study in accounting or business administration. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of the NH First financial system to conduct a variety of financial transactions including deposits, requisitions, purchase orders, and prepare summaries and reports. Utilizes knowledge of the State contracting and vendor set-up processes to accurately establish vendors in the financial system.
Responsibilities:
Examines invoice supporting documents to determine accuracy and authenticity of purchases and expenditures and prepares invoices for processing, including proper cost code information, for timely and accurate payment, and contacts vendors to resolve any discrepancies.
Analyze contract and rental agreement expenditures and records to ensure specifications are met and not exceeded. Responsible for contacting vendor to rectify changes and ensure accurate payment.
Maintains cash accounts for Canteen/Boutique, Resident Council, Patient Welfare, Meal ticket and other miscellaneous sales. Documents each transaction in an Excel spreadsheet to reflect records payments, cash collection, and ticket numbers to maintain accurate and complete financial files.
Works with department heads to resolve accounts payable issues such as duplicate payments, coding errors, as well as clarify issues regarding the operating budget.
Reconciles bank statements for facility trust accounts. Audits computer printouts by comparing data; make corrections and adjustments to the data.
Provides general secretarial support, including form letters, vendor agreements and prepares rough and final report narratives as requested by supervisor, filing, and acts as primary back-up to Switchboard Provides information requested by the public and professionals regarding program services and if necessary, routes telephone calls to appropriate personnel.
Conducts training for department heads and new hires to explain the purchasing process.
