Summary:
This position performs accounting and financial reporting, analysis, and other functions under the direction of the Accounting Manager and in coordination with other departments like Accounts Payable and Budget.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Journalize standard and non-standard entries.
Prepare monthly financials and meet all deadlines.
Maintain and review the accuracy of general ledger balances, including preparation of monthly account reconciliations.
Investigate, analyze and communicate variances with a focus on identifying root causes.
Accounts Receivable and Grant Reconciliation.
Special projects as needed by management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Dynamics GP, ReqLogic, or other accounting-based software is a plus.
Experience in customer service and relationship building.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
