Bookkeeper (Part-Time 20-hours weekly):
This position requires an employee to collaborate and support Senior Attorney and Director of Operations. Employees will have the required knowledge of office management and human resource skill.
Duties:
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable).
- Enter data into computer systems.
- Issue checks for accounts payable. Positive Pay. ACH Fraud Prevention.
- Prepare all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files.
- Assist with accounts receivable.
- Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.
- Review, process and compile various accounting transactions such as disbursements, paid and due remittances, and checks.
- Balance books and compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to the operation of an activity.
- Maintain files and records on all transactions.
- ·Compute, prepare, verify, and summarize billing invoices for daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Perform general clerical duties.
- Create and modify various documents using Microsoft Office, CLIO, and Quick Books Online.
Required background:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Experience in accounting for law office, a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel will be used consistently
- Proficient in Quick Books Online.
