Accounting Technician jobs in Arlington, VA

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes financial data, documents and manual or automated accounting systems
• Works under the supervision of an auditor or financial analyst
• Maintaining the expert contract file storage
• Monitoring the Expert info mailbox
  
• Coordinating with the Justice Management Division (JMD) on reimbursable agreement document issues and coordinating with other agencies to complete Treasury form
  
• Processing account payable invoices and answering invoice inquiries
• Preparing daily verification reports

• Processing receipt and debt collection checks

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in Washington, DC twice a week (3 days a week remote)
• Must be able to pass a DOJ background
• Must have proficient knowledge of manual and automated accounting system
• Must have two-year degree in accounting or four-year degree in a related field or relevant
• Experience in finance or accounting performing technical level duties
• Must have at least 2 years experience in a government agency litigation support environment
• Working knowledge of document management databases
• Comfort with administrative tasks and using office equipment, copiers, faxes, answering phones
