Accounts Payable Clerk jobs in Tulsa, OK

We are actively seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk for our manufacturing client.. The ideal candidate will play a role in our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our accounts payable processes. This position offers temporary-to-full-time opportunities for the right candidate, along with a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, sort, and match vendor invoices to receiving documents.
• Ensure proper account coding and signature approval authorization.
• Input all invoices into the Enterprises Resource Planning (ERP) system and maintain accounts payable records.
• Prepare weekly disbursement listing for approval and process payment checks.
• Generate vendor, customer, and employee payable and refund checks.
• Monitor, initiate, and post entries to jobs, including Order Cost (OCST) entries.
• Research, reconcile, and resolve vendor statements, phone calls, etc., concerning payment.
• File and maintain paid and unpaid vendor invoices and statements in vendor files.
• Recommend and improve policies, procedures, and systems to meet company objectives.
• Obtain and maintain vendor 1099 information and prepare annual 1099 reports.
• Assist with updating reports at month-end and handle vehicle registrations and renewals.
• Compile information from various information systems for shop supply usage recording.
• Maintain knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and computer programs in accounts payable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Accounts Payable.
• Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
