Accounts Payable Manager jobs in Houston, TX

TGG Accounting is currently working with a Commerical Design company that is based out of Houston, TX who is currently in search of an AP Manager.  This role is Direct Hire and will need the following set of skills to be successful:

Position Overview:

• Reviewing and overseeing everything Transnational including sales and purchase ledger, Payroll and cash postings
• Developing and mentoring a team of 1 with 2 -3 direct reports (in the future)
• Where possible improving processes (SOP, KPIs, and establishing Accounting Procedures)
• Enhancing and creating better working practice and system management
• Ensuring timely and accurate completion of bank reconciliations
• Relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensuing cashflow is managed efficiently
• Knowledge of Bank Reconciliations / Cash Posting of Bank Transactions
• Taking a lead of year end Audit processes thru AP Modules
• Ad Hoc support for the FC
• Be ideally studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualification
• Have previous team leader experience but not essential
• Comprehensive understanding of efficient running of Sales and Purchase Ledger
• Be able to commute to Other Departments Heads (AR, CS, and Collections Managers)
• Be able to work accurately to multiple deadlines (2nd, 4th, 15th, 20th,25th, and 30th of every month)

Requirements:

• MUST possess very extensive audit experience with the top 10

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5-7 years’ working/ Project Management experience in accounting/finance
• Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
• Experience with financial reporting requirements

• Sage software experience preferred but is not required
