Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, including processing invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Responsibilities

• Perform general office tasks such as typing, filling and scanning

• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures

• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data

• Enter vendor invoices, reconcile to statements and write checks for payment, including multiple credit card statements and vendors with multiple job accounts

• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted

• Verify discrepancies resolve billing issues

• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients

• Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status

Skills

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles

• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers

• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software

• Proficiency in English and in MS Office

• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
