Job Description:

Regional Accts Receivable Manager

The Regional Accts Receivable Manager oversees the facility Business Office Managers to ensure regulatory billing compliance, efficient and maximized collection of receivables, and accurate reporting of billing and cash collection activity.

The Regional AR Manager will cover and travel to 5-6 facilities located throughout the state of CT.

• Review, advise and assist centers with solving collection issues.
• Ensure census, revenue and billing system generation completed accurately for facilities. Provide training when deficiencies are found.
• Ensure Resident Funds Accounts are managed accurately and meet state requirements by monthly audit of bank reconciliation as well as continual review of practices.
• Assist and complete the Month End A/R reconciliation process with the facility Business Office Managers.
• Conduct regular A/R Reviews with facility Business Office Managers and Administrator.
• Orient and train new Business Office Managers as well as coordinate A/R functions in the facility to cover for extended absence or vacancies.
• Implement and provide training for new A/R related policies and procedures as directed by Director of Accounts Receivable.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of billing and collections in a long-term healthcare environment, including management or supervisory responsibility.
• Excellent team building and leadership skills are required.
• Must have thorough knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care billing and reimbursement regulations.
• Must have thorough knowledge of the Medicaid Application process, Applied Income and Private Pay collection practices.
• The ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently is essential.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a high-pressure environment.
• Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Electronic Claim submission, and Billing Software programs.
