Overview:
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager is responsible for overseeing the reconciliations and collection of payments from clients and customers on behalf of the Clerk of Court and Board of County Commissioners within the Finance division. Keeping records of invoices, deposits, and all correspondence regarding payment collection.
This position will supervise a team of accountants to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and posting of customers’ billings and payments. Also, the handling of overdue payments according to Clerk and County policies. Negotiating with customers in cases when non-payment occurs.
Prepares operational policies and procedures for essential job functions within the department. Sets up objectives for the Accounts Receivable team that align with the Finance departments goals. Implements policies required by management. Preparing monthly feedback reports on payment collections.
Remaining informed of any legislative procedural training regarding debt collection. Training and mentoring of staff members in the department. Engaging and communicating with stakeholders on efficiencies and best practices.
STARTING SALARY WILL NOT EXCEED 10% OF THE BASE SALARYGraduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional accounting and administrative experience in accounting, banking, or finance, and two (2) years of supervisory experience.
