Activity Coordinator jobs in Valdosta, GA

The Activity Coordinator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Organizes and provides program content for social events for an organization or group of people. Being an Activity Coordinator relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. In addition, Activity Coordinator performs a variety of tasks.       • Identify ways to accommodate patient preference and customary routines into their plan of care and daily activities
      • Attend mandatory in-services and maintain CPR certification
      • Willingly accepts and performs other assignments as delegated
      • Performs necessary activity related tasks at SGMC Berrien Campus as necessary
    • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
      • Working knowledge of therapeutic recreation/activities practice. Activity Director Certification preferred.
      • Necessary hours of training to maintain current certifications/licensure.
      • CPR (ACLS, BTLS, NALS, PALS, etc.as required by job description).
      • Departmental Training Calendar compliance.
      • Specific training for new or updated services/equipment relating to job requirements.
      • Technical/Clinical skill competencies completed annually.
      • Ability to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
