AP/AR Coordinator

  • We have an exciting opportunity to work for an HVAC contractor as an AP/AR Coordinator in the Birmingham, AL, area! This person will handle payment processing, account reconciliations, processing invoices, expense management, collection/credit management, etc.

    Compensation: $45,000 – 52,000/yr.

    What you’ll be doing:
    • Reviews and validates expense reports, ensuring alignment with account balances and office records.
    • Manages vendor payments, including federal ID verification, purchase order review, and discrepancy resolution.
    • Applies credits for outstanding obligations upon payment, identifies opportunities for discounts, and processes amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
    • Assists in maintaining accounting records by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
    • Calculates and submits sales tax based on processed invoices.
    • Supports the AR Manager with credit monitoring and collection efforts.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    What you’ll need to be considered:
    • 3 years of AP/AR, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience.
    • Strong Excel abilities.
    • Tech-savvy – experience with accounting software.
    • Strong verbal and written communication.

    What could set you apart:
    • Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting.
    • CAPP – Certified Accounts Payable Professional certification.
