Position Summary
The Canning Specialist is responsible for following batch ticket specifications to fill containers with paints, coatings, inks, paper slurries, and other industrial solutions following proper safety protocols. The Canning Specialist will set-up and operate machines and equipment to fill an assortment of containers with finished product. Attention to detail, communication, and time management are key skills to successfully perform this position.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, and squat or kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment

A warehouse and manufacturing floor environment is typical in this position, with regular visits to the lab and office. The noise level is generally moderate. The employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment when performing the primary functions of this job (ie: safety glasses, safety toe shoes, disposable gloves, etc.). Specific areas may require the employee to wear additional personal protective equipment and receive medical testing.
