Art Director Assistant assists the Art Director with all phases of design projects to ensure successful project completion. Monitors work through all stages of pre-production and production and facilitates solutions to any issues that may arise. Being an Art Director Assistant reviews the work of videographers, photographers, designers, and graphic artists. Requires knowledge of typography, layout, color, and visual communication. Additionally, Art Director Assistant requires a bachelor's degree of art or design. Typically reports to Art Director. The Art Director Assistant gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. The right candidate will have experience working closely with copywriters, photographers, directors, editors and production teams. You should be highly organized, deadline driven, client loving, coworker supporting and motivated to collaborate across agency departments. Video editing and motion graphic skills will be considered a great plus. Experience with consumer brands in tech, western, outdoor, travel and tourism, and the pet industry would be amazing.
