Art Director Assistant assists the Art Director with all phases of design projects to ensure successful project completion. Monitors work through all stages of pre-production and production and facilitates solutions to any issues that may arise. Being an Art Director Assistant reviews the work of videographers, photographers, designers, and graphic artists. Requires knowledge of typography, layout, color, and visual communication. Additionally, Art Director Assistant requires a bachelor's degree of art or design. Typically reports to Art Director. The Art Director Assistant gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Participate in planning and implementation of staff training pre-camp and throughout the summer.
    Model camp and City values all times.
    Assume a leadership role during special events, field trips, and all-camp activities.  
    Assist with creation of weekly or daily schedules for children of varying age groups and interests.
    Coordinate and lead recreational and educational activities as requested.
    Maintain safety, order and discipline of campers and ensure facilities are safe and ready for use, including the waterfront.
    Communicate with parents as needed.
    Perform first aid where necessary.   Contact appropriate emergency services if necessary.
    Complete reports and paperwork as required.Proven experience leading others and working with children in some capacity.
    Familiarity with various outdoor activities and ability to spend days outdoors in changing environments.
    Patient, reliable, energetic, and positive.
    Organizational and communication skills.  

     Must be a minimum of 18 years old. Life experience/education beyond high school preferred.
    Ability to obtain lifeguard certification through camp staff training.
