Art Manager manages the creative design and execution of visual communications to meet an organization's marketing or advertising objectives. Provides internal clients with design standards, tools, and guidance on communicating corporate image, branding, and identity. Being an Art Manager oversees the design and production operations of all visual elements including publications, infographics, and social content, that are deployed across digital, interactive and print. Monitors projects and timelines. Additionally, Art Manager stays current on latest trends. Develops and manages a network of vendors, freelance artists, and designers to utilize for project support. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Art Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Art Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Part-Time 25 to 29 hrs/week
Join in on the excitement of our Exhibitions and Art Programming in downtown Santa Barbara within the newly renovated Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Security Guards wanted and welcome at $17.50/hour for a part-time regular schedule, with opportunities to work on weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
Duties include patrolling the Museum to prevent theft, damage and injuries, monitoring and reporting any security or safety irregularities, and providing information to visitors. The ideal candidate will have a professional appearance and effective communication and customer service skills. Some security or law enforcement experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
Part-time and variable status is eligible for 32 hours paid sick leave. Variable status may equal part-time or full-time hours. Partial benefits are available for a regular schedule of 20 or more hours/week include prorated vacation pay, holiday pay, and 403b retirement savings plan with a 100% employer match of up to 5% of earnings after a year's service, Downtown SB Bikestop private bicycle storage membership, and more, all while working in beautiful Downtown Santa Barbara in the heart of the Arts District.
