Job Overview:
The Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Recreation reports directly to the Associate Dean for Student Engagement and New Student Orientation. The Assistant Director advises the Student Government Association (SGA), all funding requests from student organizations and co-manages the student activities fee budget. The Assistant Director is responsible for the creation, management, and planning of non-varsity student engagement programs and the promotion of events and activities on the activities calendar each year. Additionally, this position will support campus-wide programs such as New Student Orientation, Welcome Weeks, Student Involvement Fair, Late Night Breakfast, Finals Fiesta, Homecoming & Family Weekend, Albertus Madness, and other major events sponsored by the Office of Student Engagement. The Assistant Director provides oversight and training for clubs & organizations each semester. The Assistant Director supervises the Campus Recreation Intern(s) each semester, guiding, mentoring, and coordinating the Campus Recreation events and tournaments we host.
