Assistant Campus Recreation Director administers and promotes all non-varsity, club (intramural) sports and wellness program. Plans and organizes campus-wide recreational programs for all students, faculty, and staff. Being an Assistant Campus Recreation Director may supervise student staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Assistant Campus Recreation Director typically reports to Campus Recreation Director. The Assistant Campus Recreation Director supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Responsibilities:
The Recreation Assistant works under general supervision responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating the activity program under the general direction of the Recreation Director. The recreation program will assure that an ongoing program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interest, physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
