    Part Time Onsite Assistant Recreation Director

     

    Prestigious San Diego based Community Association Management Company is currently seeking a highly intelligent, industrious, take-charge, Recreation Coordinator for a beautiful large master-planned community in Chula Vista. The ideal candidate will be a positive, articulate, well organized, energetic, resourceful and detail-oriented individual with a "can do" attitude who is interested in cultivating thriving communities through relationship building. This creative person must enjoy working with people, be a great team player who possesses strong interpersonal skills, and understands the importance of providing a high-level of service to our client. Flexibility and the ability to learn new skills is required. Experience with organizing and programming social events and large parties is essential.

    You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, office management proficiency and computer skills (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word and Publisher) and be able to gracefully juggle many different time-critical tasks at the same time while working independently and with the management team.

     

    Job responsibilities include:

    • Community Events and Activities production including budgeting, coordination and execution
    • Developing a volunteer base to support the events and activities
    • Composing electronic newsletters, email blasts and homeowner correspondence
    • Facility oversight for onsite community club house including safety inspections, work order management and vendor oversight
    • General clubhouse administration: homeowner access cards, facility reservation management, resident inquiries
    • Interaction with vendors who provide services for events and for the community
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    Skills required:

     

    • At least three years’ experience (community association administrative assistant experience is a plus)
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Available to work some Saturdays and evenings/weekends hosting community events
    • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred
    • Must present a positive and professional image for the organization
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products
    • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidential information
    • Applicant must be a self-starter, resourceful, takes initiative
    • Highly organized and efficiency-minded with excellent time management skills
    • Able to multi-task and adjust to constantly changing priorities
    • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to work well under pressure; and excellent references
    • Experience being a member of a staff and team player
    • Standing, walking, sitting, ability to lift 25 pounds
    • Must be able to reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work to: Chula Vista, CA 91914
