    About New Mexico Military Institute: NMMI is a state-supported, co-educational college preparatory high school and junior college, complete with Junior and Senior ROTC programs. With a Corps of Cadets numbering up to 1,000 young men and women, NMMI provides an accredited college preparatory curriculum on the high school level and is currently developing a new middle school.

    Position: Under administrative direction, the Director of Information Technology identifies and works with campus and off-campus stakeholders to plan, develop, procure, implement, and service the use of all types of information technology required by NMMI’s mission and support elements. This is a 12-month, full-time, exempt position. The salary range is $95,000.00 to $105,000.00. The job description is available upon request.

    Tasks:
    Plan for the growth of information technology at New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI); collaboratively develop an information technology vision and plan for the future in support of our mission, vision, and strategic plan.
    Ensure end users have the technology they need when they need it; manage workloads and staffing to provide effective and efficient service in a timely manner.
    Other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills:
    Knowledge of the principles and practices of strategic planning.

    Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
    Knowledge of personnel and education management.
    Knowledge of current Cyber-Security Principals.
    Skill in interpersonal relations and negotiations.
    Skill in management of personnel and other resources.

    Qualifications:
    A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Information Technology.
    Seven to ten years of experience in the information technology field.
    A successful record of increasing responsibility, including supervising and managing any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education.
    An advanced degree in Information Technology is preferred.
    Three to five years in managing and supervising an information technology department in an academic or public school district setting is preferred.
