Charleston Healthcare Center is currently recruiting for an Assistant Chef. In addition to Cook responsibilities, this position will assist the Culinary Director and fill in when the Culinary Director is not available.

Your Mission:

As Assistant Chef your responsibilities will include:

• Perform all aspects of food preparation and serving for residents as required according to established menus and recipes.
• Have knowledge of and ensure compliance with all sanitary and food preparation procedures.
• Assist Culinary Director in assigned duties related to kitchen operations and fill in as Culinary Director when the Director is not available.

Your Qualifications:

• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• Technical training and prior food service experience, preferably in a health care environment
