We raise our own rabbits, chickens, goats, ducks, beef and dairy cow, and we hunt and process antelope, venison, elk and of course, pheasant and other game birds. We also have a chef's culinary garden complete with state of the art greenhouse facilities, an orchard and an aviary.

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our hospitality crew for the 2024 Summer/Fall season. The ideal candidate will have expertise in crafting artisanal breads, both fermented and quick, as well as creating exquisite desserts and pastries for our high-end fine dining experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare a variety of breads, including fermented and quick breads, to accompany our farm-to-table meals
• Design and execute creative and visually stunning desserts and pastries for our fine dining events
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu cohesion and exceptional dining experiences
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and maintaining par levels of pastry ingredients
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
• Participate in menu development and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the dining experience

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker in high-end restaurants or fine dining establishments
• Proficiency in creating a wide range of breads, desserts, and pastries
• Strong understanding of pastry techniques, including baking, tempering, and decorating
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and guest preferences
• Food Handlers/ServSafe certification (will be reimbursed if not already obtained)

Note: This position requires living on-site at the ranch for 14 weeks. Room and board is provided free of charge during your stay. Employees are guaranteed a private bedroom in a shared living-space house.
