We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Assistant Store Manager for our thriving truck stop store. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in maintaining a welcoming and customer-focused environment for all patrons.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in supervising and managing the daily operations of the store, including inventory, sales, customer service, and staff management
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent customer service, addressing customer concerns, and resolving any issues that may arise
- Train and coach sales associates to ensure they provide exceptional customer service and meet sales targets
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including store displays, merchandise placement, and product pricing
- Assist in managing inventory levels and ordering merchandise as needed
- Help create and execute promotional activities to drive sales and increase customer loyalty
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior experience in retail management, preferably in a truck stop or convenience store setting
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task under pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
- Knowledge of retail operations and sales techniques
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
