Description
The Sales Manager is responsible for supervision and direction of all sales and marketing activities to meet the annual sales volumes and gross profit objectives. This position is accountable for increasing sales and distribution through training and effective planning. This position is responsible for organizing and directing the activities of the Sales Consultants. Maintains an open and effective communication system between sales and delivery.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Develop in conjunction with the General Manager, annual and monthly sales goals by brand, package, and route.
· Direct the development, implementation and evaluation of sales strategies and action plans.
· Establish necessary internal control processes, records, forms, and reports to track marketing effectiveness regarding competitive market conditions, marketing performance and promotional strategies.
· Continually monitor the Sales departments’ efforts in the areas of sales, stock rotation, product facings, code dates, pricing, point of sale placements, display activity, cooler and shelf position, customer service and other assigned responsibilities.
· Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
· General working knowledge of the beer industry and products; and five years plus of operational experience, bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
· Strong management skills.
· Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
· Proficiency in using a computer.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products as well as all aspects of VIP.
· Ability to accept responsibility and account for their actions.
· The ability to function independently, take initiative, demonstrate a creative approach as situations require and maintain confidentiality.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license.
· Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
