Westminster College is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Business to serve jointly as Chair of the Department. This position requires the rank of Associate Professor, with a start date of August 15, 2024. We are seeking a broadly trained and educated individual who has demonstrated passion for leadership and teaching in a primarily residential, undergraduate, liberal arts institution. The chair provides oversight for both the on-campus and online programs.
As Chair of the Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating both full-time and part-time faculty; overseeing all curricular matters of the Department; preparing and overseeing annual budgets; overseeing annual assessment reports, periodic program reviews, and ACBSP accreditation; coordinating academic advising in the department; and attending to all duties assigned to department chairs.
At the same time, the successful candidate will have a half time teaching load consisting of various courses in Business.

Education: Doctorate (or ABD) or Masters degree in Business or related discipline. Masters degree in a related discipline with either an earned 18 hours of graduate coursework in Business OR at least five years of professional industry experience or prior college-level teaching.
Experience: Evidence of excellent teaching experience at the collegiate level is required.
• Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods. (Student-centered learning, service learning, online teaching).
• Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate individual student learning.
• Proven leadership experience
• Understanding of teaching at a liberal arts institution, a desire to work with undergraduate students, and a willingness to be a member of a collaborative and collegial faculty.
