Assoc. Professor - Rehabilitation teaches courses in the discipline area of rehabilitation and therapy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Rehabilitation provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Rehabilitation typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Duties and Responsibilities:
    • This position is responsible for the implementation and facilitation of daily activities within the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program serving adults with a serious mental illness. Specific duties are as follows:
    • Create a program curriculum to help improve the emotional, cognitive, and social skills development of clients served.
    • Provide activities which focus on improving the functional level, daily living, and socialization of the clients.
    • Complete daily progress notes on all services delivered.
    • Ensure daily documentation is uploaded in the EHR (Credible) of client’s social, educational, recreational and vocational activities provided in the program within 24 hours or by the next business day.
    • Timely complete the annual assessments, treatment plans and  treatment plan reviews  with client’s specific program goals and objectives.
    • Monitor, review and assess the clients’ progress in meeting treatment plan goals., improving functional level and maintaining mental health stability. 
    • Effectively deliver program services for client ‘s improvement and functional development.  
    • Maintain a daily client attendance log with client signatures to validate attendance.
    • Maintain current documentation the client’s medical records in compliance with applicable agency and state requirements.
    • Participate in treatment teams meetings with other clinical staff involved in client’s treatment.
    • Provide appropriate therapeutic intervention to program clients in crisis.
    • Complete all levels of training as required. 
    • Comply with CRC internal policies and procedures.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Clinical Director, which are consistent with the position and in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
