Assoc. Professor - Rehabilitation teaches courses in the discipline area of rehabilitation and therapy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Rehabilitation provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Rehabilitation typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. We are seeking applicants with basic/translational expertise in modern pharmacology, including but not limited to drug discovery, identification and characterization of promising therapeutic targets and pathways, and development of technologies for illuminating and exploiting the untapped clinical potential of new biological mechanisms. Our department is home to a diverse faculty that combines computational and experimental approaches with a variety of model systems to address unmet needs in areas such as cancer biology, neurobiology, cardiovascular health, diabetes, substance use disorders, metabolism, and several rare diseases. We are seeking candidates that would further enrich and expand this collective expertise in new and innovative ways.
