Job Summary:
Heartwood Extended Care in Tacoma, WA is looking for an Area Director of Admissions & Marketing responsible for overseeing the admissions process and marketing efforts. This position is Full-time (M-F) and requires a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, specifically in long-term care and skilled nursing.
Essential Functions:- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase occupancy and revenue
- Manage the admissions process, including screening potential residents, coordinating tours, and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations to build relationships and promote the facility
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Manage the admissions and marketing team, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to admissions and marketing
Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements:- Must be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who is licensed or registered, as required, by the State and is eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body.
- Has 2 years’ experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting.
- Valid driver’s license, and access to a private vehicle for business use may be required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:- Ability to follow directions and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff.
