Job Description:
Under general supervision of the Purchasing Manager, responsible for planning and purchasing materials to support the ZOLL production lines. Make expense buys and assist with general purchasing duties.
Essential Functions:
Assist Purchasing team members with tasks as needed
Work with Oracle system and MRP for assigned items
Generate and issue Requisitions and PO’s
Action MRP messages to support ideal inventory levels
Communicate with suppliers and maintain purchase order dates and pricing
Communicate with other departments on material status and delivery dates of shortages
Responsible for supplier on-time delivery performance
Maintain items and MRP fields to support ideal inventory levels and accurate MRP calculations
Support Engineering and SQE with engineering changes and quality issues
Skill Requirements:
Good knowledge of MRP systems, Oracle preferred
Strong communications skills – verbal, written and presentation
Strong people skills – ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
Strong follow-up skills - ability to multi-task and prioritize
Skilled on Microsoft Office Products – Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
Required/ Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree preferred
APICS Certification desired
Previous experience as a Buyer or Planner is a plus
