About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Associate to join our team at Designer Brands. As a Store Associate, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a positive store environment, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and helpful service to customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and break room.
• Process customer transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges, while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist with visual merchandising, including setting up displays and maintaining store fixtures.
• Participate in daily team meetings and ongoing training to stay up-to-date on company policies, procedures, and product knowledge.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
