  • Job Summary
    Under general supervision, responsible for producing pattern designs using CAD tools. Prepares detailed drawings of products from sketches, using 3D Computer-Aided Design (SolidWorks, Solid Edge or equal), AutoCAD and other associated software. Follows instructions and procedures, performing moderate detailing, redrawing, lettering, and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies, and engineering change orders. Ensures that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain product style. Contributes design modifications to improve product quality and function.

    Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
    Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

    · Prepare detailed drawings and designs from sketches using CAD equipment.

    · Follow instructions and adhere to procedures for drawing and design modifications.

    · Perform detailing, redrawing, lettering, and tracing of component and assembly drawings.

    · Ensure all design features are accurately incorporated into final drawings.

    · Collaborate on design modifications to enhance product quality and functionality.

    Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills
    Required:

    · Proficiency in CAD tools and equipment for design purposes. SolidWorks or SolidEdge and AutoCAD

    · Moderate experience in detailing, redrawing, and tracing of technical drawings.

    · Ability to contribute to design modifications and improvements.

    Preferred:

    · Additional relevant certifications in CAD or related design software.

    · Proficiency in CAD Software – Skilled in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and software to create detailed product drawings.

    · Technical Drawing Knowledge – Knowledge of technical drawing standards, procedures, and best practices.

    · Attention to Detail – Ability to consistently produce high-quality, accurate work with attention to all design features.

    · Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to make design modifications to improve product quality and function as required.

    · Understanding of Product Design – Familiarity with design processes, components, and assemblies to ensure cohesive product style and functionality.

    License/Certification
    Preferred:

    · Relevant CAD certifications or licensure, if applicable.

    Working Environment & Conditions/Physical Requirements
    · Primarily office-based, using CAD equipment and software.

    · Sedentary work with some light physical effort (up to 20 pounds).

    · Frequent computer use with occasional requirements to stand or stoop.

    · Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.

    · Minimal travel requirements.

    Equipment or Machines Routinely Used in This Position
    · Computer, CAD software, keyboard, mouse, and other associated peripherals.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: Up to $50,000.00 per year
