    The Director of Program Management will manage our team of Program Managers to ensure the success of the various customer qualification processes using Group14’s product(s). This person is the primary point of contact for Group14 customers in the qualification and production stages and is accountable to ensure Customers, Business Development, R&D, Operations, and Quality deliver program milestones on time and on budget. This includes driving internal projects with Quality, Operations, Marketing, Product, and Finance. This role will support Group14’s efforts to supply the largest global battery makers, EV OEMs, and consumer electronics companies.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

     

    -Lead the Customer Program Management team in the development and execution of strategic customer programs and initiatives. Create a clear roadmap for program execution, setting goals, milestones, and success criteria.

    -Champion an exceptional customer experience across all programs. Collaborate with Technical Program Management, Contracts, and Business Development Management teams to understand customer needs and ensure programs align with their requirements.

    -Work closely with various internal departments, including Quality, Product, Operations, and Marketing to coordinate efforts and ensure seamless program execution. Foster effective communication and collaboration to drive overall program success.

    -Identify potential risks and challenges that could impact program success. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address these risks and ensure programs stay on track.

    -Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress and success of programs. Regularly assess program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes.

    -Continuously evaluate and enhance program management processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices to ensure consistent and repeatable program delivery.

    -Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the Customer Program Management team. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, promoting professional growth and development.

    -Act as the primary point of contact for supporting automotive and consumer electronics battery customers for assigned battery qualification programs.

    -Coordinate onsite customer visits and meet with our customers in the US and around the world.

     

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

     

    -Experience managing customer programs with automotive or battery customers or equivalent (aerospace, etc.).

    -BS, MBA, MS, PhD degree in Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent job experience.

    -10 years of Industry experience with at least 6 years as a Program Manager performing relevant duties.

    -Successful track-record in managing complex cross-functional projects.

     

    OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:

     

    -Automotive Industry Experience (OEM, Tier 1, or Tier 2).

    -Experience working with foreign customers.

    -Ability to speak Mandarin Chinese or German.

    -Understanding of the Automotive qualification cycle and APQP process.

    -CRM experience.

    -Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP tool).

    -Start-up experience.

    The annual base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $190,000. All positions come with a company bonus and stock options. The actual base pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.
