Associate Human Resources Director directs the human resources staff that implement and manage policies and programs that reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs. Being an Associate Human Resources Director oversees processes and programs that support employees and company operations, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance. Administers an HRIS or other system to facilitate processes, provide data, and report on HR activity. Additionally, Associate Human Resources Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Associate Human Resources Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Associate Human Resources Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Director of Human Resources will lead the HR department with a focus in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management and requires a strategic thinker who can drive organizational development and employee engagement initiatives to support our company's growth and success. 

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
    • Oversee all aspects of HR: including but not limited to: talent acquisition, onboarding, training and development, performance management, safety, compliance, total rewards, HR technology, and labor and employee relations
    • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
    • Manage employee benefits programs and ensure competitive and cost-effective offerings
    • Drive employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive work culture
    • Partner with senior management to identify and address HR-related challenges and opportunities
    • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related issues
    • Lead and develop the HR team to deliver high-quality HR services and support to the organization
    • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals and objectives
    • Must keep abreast of all relevant employment laws and regulations
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
    • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred
    • Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
    • Labor relations experience strongly preferred
    • Construction industry experience strongly preferred
    • Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred
    • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory requirements
    • Experience in the construction industry or related field preferred
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Valid driver's license and must meet pre-employment hiring requirements

    Pay Range: $150k - $170k based on experience
