Your Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Services Team Lead to oversee our Project Control, Document Control, and Project Support staff, located in multiple offices (currently California and Maine, but potentially other locations may be added) that provide a variety of engineering solutions to primarily Energy (traditional power generation, renewable, and energy transition) and Heavy Industrial clients, but also to clients in other industries. Our Project Services Specialists (Project Control, Document Control, Project Support) are key members of the Project Management Team responsible for collaborating with Project Managers and project teams to provide support for the successful execution of projects through conformance to Stantec’s PM Framework, corporate policies, and client requirements and standards. The Project Services Team Leader will provide direct supervision, training, mentoring, and problem-solving assistance to the Project Controls Specialists located in the various offices.
Your Key Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision to the Project Controls Specialists to ensure project controls functions are being executed in accordance with Stantec’s PM Framework, the project scope, and the business centers project management practices. This includes project financial monitoring and reporting, project schedule development and maintenance, as well as internal and external project reporting. The Project Services Team leader will be responsible to ensure each project has an assigned Project Controls Specialist, as well as document control support, as required, and will work the Project Management Commercial Leader (PMCL) on maintaining applicable staffing levels.
The position will be fast paced and dynamic with new challenges encountered frequently.
