Job Description:

What You Will Do

• Build out the financial structures to support a growing, start-up food manufacturing company with an energetic, visionary CEO.
• Right-hand person and thought partner to the CFO.
• You are comfortable being in the weeds and in the clouds and everywhere in between.
• Oversee the day-to-day accounting function, including month-end close, financial reporting, KPIs/Metrics, Accounts Payables/Receivables
• Professionalize the Accounting department including establishing internal controls, reducing close processes, and improving the overall accuracy of the financial information provided to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain company Accounting and Inventory Systems
• Manage Annual outside Audit/Review and Tax processes.
• Produce thorough financial status reports for senior management to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.
• Handle raw material and packaging procurement.
• Play a key role in creating an operating budget and update the company on variances to the budget.
• Help support selling activities, including the preparation of annual bids for the company’s K-12 school business.

What You Bring To The Table

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 5 years of proven experience in a Manufacturing environment
• You have served as a Controller or Accounting Manager for 5 years.
• Exemplary history of financial project management
• Strong understanding of cash flow management and financial analysis

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $84,684.52 - $101,985.66 per year
