Bankruptcy Specialist is responsible for the documentation and filing of loan bankruptcy materials. Responds to calls, concerns, and correspondence for bankrupt loan accounts. Being a Bankruptcy Specialist monitors accounts throughout the loan bankruptcy process and contacts the appropriate party when necessary. Ensures full compliance with loan bankruptcy regulations, and verifies the bankruptcy is secured. Additionally, Bankruptcy Specialist distributes account balances and interest rates to the secured and unsecured balances. Stays up to date with bankruptcy laws and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Bankruptcy Specialist work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia is accepting applications for a full-time, permanent Systems Specialist . The Systems Specialist delivers tailored technical support to judges, chambers support staff, and clerk’s office personnel, offering expertise in IT systems, hardware, and software assistance. The Systems Specialist is responsible for planning, research, installation, maintenance, support and training for courtroom audio/video systems and services. Responsibilities include courtroom sound, streaming audio and video, video/electronic evidence presentation equipment, displays, recording and video conferencing equipment at multiple court locations within the district. We are looking for a team player with a professional attitude who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and demonstrates excellent interpersonal communications skills, computer proficiency, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an exceptional work ethic. After an initial ninety (90) day orientation period, the incumbent will be eligible to participate in the court’s telework program, which for this position currently authorizes up to 2 telework days per week.
