Bankruptcy Specialist jobs in Annandale, VA
Bankruptcy Specialist is responsible for the documentation and filing of loan bankruptcy materials with the appropriate attorneys. Ensures full compliance with loan bankruptcy regulations. Being a Bankruptcy Specialist monitors accounts throughout the loan bankruptcy process and contacts appropriate party when necessary. Verifies the bankruptcy is secured and acquires a copy of the proposed Chapter 13 Plan on all secured accounts. Additionally, Bankruptcy Specialist captures Chapter 7 reaffirmation agreements to management for approval. Distributes account balances and interest rates to the secured and unsecured balances. Stays current with changing state specific bankruptcy laws. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Bankruptcy Specialist works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Bankruptcy Specialist typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Responsibilities will include:
- Volunteer Committee Oversight: Handle all coordination and communication with our volunteer leaders (100 ), to include conference and webinar session planning, awards programs, newsletter generation, and social activities.
- Customer Service: To serve as the lead customer service representative for the Membership department including customer ticket monitoring ensuring timely and correct responses as well as chat support.
- Online Product Administration: Monitor court websites for new content.
- Renewal Invoicing: Preparation and coordination of monthly renewal invoices
- Database Administration: Updating member records and creating reports as requested.
The successful candidate will be very comfortable with web-based software, highly collaborative and eager to learn more.
Some experience with Zoom, iMIS, Salesforce, discussion forums, marketing software (Pardot or equivalent) and project management software (Asana or equivalent) will be extremely helpful in succeeding in this position. Some ability with HTML will also be helpful.
The position will report to the Director of Membership. Candidates must have a college degree for consideration. Some travel required.
