We are a small laid back family-owned law firm in need of an administrative/legal assistant. While the position and pay is entry level, we want someone eager to learn, thrive and quickly grow their job responsibilities and corresponding pay/benefits. The ideal candidate is a mature, patient and organized quick-learner who enjoys clerical and phone work. You must enjoy working solo in a quiet environment. And the position requires someone with a professional yet patient and friendly phone presence since interacting with potential and existing clients is a daily activity.

Typical Duties/Responsibilities;

- Answering phones/questions and scheduling consultations with prospective clients

- Managing existing client relationships via email and phone, requesting documents/other file needs and scheduling appointments

- Data entry into Client petition software system and managing client file workflow (we will train)
- Organize and maintain documents in an electronic filing system.
- Eventual goals are to manage all the above as the Office Manager and grow to assist attorney in preparation of legal petitions/motions/hearings along with managing attorney schedule

- Professional and friendly phone skills.

- Enjoy solo, quiet laid back environment
- Highly organized and Detail oriented .
- Able to learn and become competent with office processes and software data entry quickly
- Familiarity with Office Word/Excel.
- Generally can type (no need to be a speed demon but please better than hunt and peck).
- Honest, trustworthy and prideful in work results/performance with good written and spoken grammar.
- Ability to communicate effectively to differing groups (clients, general public, and court personnel)
- Ability to create and maintain relationships with clients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $36,000.00 per year
