    • Position Description - Assigned to an exempt position in a director role
    • Principal Functions - Responsible for managing the business, administration, and operations of the church. This position provides leadership for the stewardship of the financial, physical, and personnel resources ot the church
    • Relationships - Internal: Reports directly to the Pastor, Serves as staff liaison to Connect, Finance, Personnel and Property Ministries, Attends staff meetings and serves as coordinator of staff meetings in the Pastor, Available to, communicates with, and advises the Connect, Finance, Personnel, and Property Ministries, and the Session of the church, Inspires, nurtures and develops relationships, Available to and communicates with church members, Supervises all non-ordainded and non-program staffand coordinates employment compensation for all staff, Attends all stated session meetings and facilitates teh work of the clerk through the docket and record archives.
    • Relationships - External: Coordinates and manages outside vendors, Relates to fellow church administrators, and continues necessary education requirements to maintain certification.
    • Responcibilities: Acts as the chief financial officer of Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church of Clearwater, Florida, Inc., Oversees the employment evaluation, and supervision of all non-ordained and non-program staff and coordinates employment compensation for all staff. Implements and enforces approved personnel policies, and makes recommendations to the Personnel Ministry concerning salary and performance evaluations of all employees under position's supervision. maintains records of staff benefits, pensions, job descriptions, work records, evaluations, vacation sick leave and others as necessary. Serves as the primary staff resource to all administrative and fiduciary ministries and assists in all financial drives or campaigns, and executes all contracts. Coordinates, facilitates and manages the maintenance of all property and any future vehicles. Maintains central control and records of insurance coverage and inventory of all furnishings and equipment. Negotiates maintenance and repair contracts . Secures vendors and/or professionals for all outsourced ministry functions. Oversees the property clenliness, orderliness and beauty of the church buildings and landscape. Plans for effective opperation of facilities by evaluating program needs and directing and scheduling staff or services. Supervises hospitality operations, including commercial kitchen, food purchases, calendaring of events, cost controls, equipment, furnishings and vending machines. Reviews, implements and manages the policies and procedures of the church. Serves as the primary communications officer for all printed, published and electronic media outlets. Oversees the administrative functions of the church including, but not limited to, the purchase of equipment and supplies, direction of administrative work flow (accounting, scheduling, printing, publishing, and mailings). Insures the church has the tools necessary to achieve its mission and vision.
    • Characteristics: Is a person rooted in the Christian faith and the traditions of protestant worship, Demonstrates leadership and management skills for a non-profit charitable corporationwith various internal organizatons and business units. Has the appropriate education to perform the duties of the position and at least 5 years in progressively responsible operations experience. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communiaction skills. Is highly organized and self-directed. Takes suggestions and directions from the Session, lay leadership and pastor and works to implement the goals of all ministries. Is able to relate well to people both in person and on the phone. Is able to continue to develop knowledge adn skills related to non-profit administration and personnel management and is willing to seek to learn how similar organizations develop and implement best practices and share that knowledge with the mimistries of the church. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and experience with budgets and financial sttements; demonstrates proficiency with computer applications and databases necessary to maintain appropriate records related thereto. While performing the duties of church administrator, the employee is: Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, talk, hear, drive adn ride. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and to reach with hands and arms. Required to have vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Able to use reasoning ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written ond or oral instructions and has the ability to deal with problems in a variety of situations.
    • Relationships: Accountable to the Pastor in teh performance of responsibilities. Employee is expected to work cooperatively with others and to treat other staff members, members of the congragation, and outside work-related contacts with respect.
    • Volunteer Management: Provide direction, gain committment, facilitate change, and engage people in their areas of giftedness and passion.
    • Leadership Development: Relates to fellow certified church administrators and maintains membership in organizations of accreditied church administrators. Encourages others to discover and engage their giftedness and skills in service; call out best in others; think strategically about continual need for a next generation of leaders and work to build the leadership base.
    • Evaluation: A performance review will be conducted by the employee, supervisor and the Personnel Ministry annually.

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $12,000.00 - $13,000.00 per year
