Bookkeeping Manager manages and oversees all the bookkeeping staff. Responsible for the practices and procedures to ensure timely and accurate records and reports. The Bookkeeping Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments.     This individual must have previous leadership experience at a high volume hospitality establishment. This is ideal for someone that has both managed and bartended in a bar or restaurant and is enthusiastic in furthering their career in the industry. Must have a positive attitude, a humble approach to new challenges, and a strong work ethic. This persons main duties will be managing and supporting their teams and making sure that guest have a unforgettable experience. Requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, coordinating events, and maintaining high standards of service in food and beverage services.

    Duties

    • Lead and supervise a team of FOH staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
    • Maintain high staff morale in FOH.
    • Maintain positive and open communication between FOH and BOH.
    • Work with GM on business and employee goals, hiring needs, vacation requests, and employee relations.
    • Evaluate performance in individual FOH staff members.
    • Communicate and document ongoing staff performance issues to GM.
    • Maintain POS system (Toast).
    • Handle all guest reviews and complaints.
    • Conduct regular scheduled FOH meetings and shift lead meetings.
    • Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
    • Manage customer service initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
    • Coordinate all events and ensure they are executed flawlessly.
    • Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain quality standards in food service and presentation.
    • Develop training programs for new employees and on going training as needed, focusing on hospitality best practices and operational procedures.
    • Monitor inventory levels for bar supplies, liquor, wine, and beer. Placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
    • Assist in the development of schedules, budgets, and financial plans for the liquor, beer, and wine department.
    • Finding coverage as need or providing coverage for shift call outs.

    Requirements

    • 3 years experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
    • A stable work history displaying longevity in positions.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
    • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing the guest experience.
    • Experience in cash handling and financial management is essential.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of operations.
    • Able to handle difficult guest situations with ease and de escalate.
