Budget Analyst jobs in West New York, NJ

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director Budgeting and Decision Support, assists in the development of the Hosptal's revenue, expense, and capital budgets.  Regularly monitors budget reports (Cost per Unit of Service, Overtime reports, etc.) for variances and works with Hospital Directors to effect change through Corrective Action Plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.  Five (5) years of experience in accounting or financial analysis required, two (2) of which include healthcare.  Prior experience in the budgeting process with a demonstrated ability to resolve problems accurately and expeditiously is a must.  Knowledge of the State of New Jersey Office of Management and Budgets (OMB) budget requirements and the Banner financial system is a plus.  Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to develop and produce ad hoc financial reports as needed.  Ideal candidate should also have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and a demonstrated ability to work well with others.
