Under general direction drives and operates city vehicles in the transporting of senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Drive a mini-bus in a safe and efficient manner using an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) to maintain an effective schedule of delivery.
Clean the vehicle.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of streets and public facilities in the city.
Qualifying Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Six months related experience. Ability to obtain Texas CDL Class C with Passenger Endorsement within six months.
Pre-employment Screening:
Criminal Background, Motor Vehicle, Physical and Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) Drug and Alcohol testing.
This position is deemed as safety-sensitive and is subject to drug and alcohol testing. Employment for safety-sensitive positions will be made contingent upon the results of the required drug and alcohol tests. Employees in City safety-sensitive positions may be selected for testing on a random basis under a regularly scheduled testing program.
