The Driver is responsible for safely transporting students and staff to or from school, activities or programs as approved by the Center Director; responsible for maintenance, cleanliness and safety of the vehicle. The driver must be punctual, have a caring heart for children, have great communication skills, and be able to maintain documentation.
Safely operate center transportation in accordance with state and center rules and regulations.
Ensure safety of children within Driver’s direct care.
Maintain order and discipline during transport.
Maintain all record keeping associated with the vehicle including, but not limited to, daily logs and vehicle inspections.
Communicate with parents, students and staff in a courteous and respectful manner; respond accordingly to needs.
Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of center vehicle including cleaning of vehicle and transporting vehicle for servicing as needed.
Follow all center policies and state regulations.
Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Responsible, mature and safety conscious.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Clean driving record.
Able to react quickly to emergency situations.
Must be able to follow all federal, state, and center regulations.
Must clear a full background check.
Must pass health screening.
Previous driving experience.
