Ground Control Business Management, a subsidiary of NFP, is seeking a Business Manager who will be responsible for all areas relating to the needs of clients and their representatives regarding personal and business financial and accounting matters. The Manager will assist and mentor the team to ensure that the work is completed and accurate in a timely manner. Includes a multitude of accounting activities including financial reporting, preparation of budget and forecast activities. The Manager works closely with the Account Managers and Managing Directors.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of financial reporting
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
• Budget and forecasting activities
• Supervision of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements
• Collaborate with the tax department
• Efficiently assist clients and client’s representatives as needed with issues related to personal or business transactions and miscellaneous issues as they arise
• Daily interaction and effective communication with staff members
• Prioritizing tasks and understanding what is urgent
• Liaison with insurance department to verify client is properly insured
• Other special projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree and CPA Certification
• Proficiency with accounting software
• Proficiency with Excel and Word
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Personable, positive and enthusiastic attitude
• Proficient in overseeing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines
• Be able to work with a variety of personalities

The base salary range for this position is $130,000 – $170,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
