We are thrilled to offer a dynamic opportunity for a full-time Business Development Coordinator who is passionate about the built environment and eager to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative setting. As Business Development Coordinator at Peacock Construction, you will be at the heart of our BD/Marketing Department, overseeing the RFQ and RFP execution and assist with business development initiatives. You’ll play a pivotal role in organizing, coordinating, and executing various marketing and business development campaigns, all while working closely with our dedicated team of construction managers.
Your role will involve partnering with the Business Development lead to track opportunities and craft compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing materials. You’ll also maintain systems and tools that promote efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities Include:
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with leadership to craft client-centered strategies for proposals and statements of qualifications, ensuring we effectively capture new opportunities.
- Proposal Management: Assist in preparing company-wide prequalification documents and project proposals (RFPs/RFQs), ensuring content accuracy, high quality, and timely delivery.
- Pre-Interview Coordination: Partner with design teams to plan pre-interview sessions and rehearse presentations, enhancing our readiness and impact.
- CRM Management: Support the ongoing entry and maintenance of data in our company CRM system to track and research leads and opportunities, and generate insightful reports.
- Marketing Collateral Development: Create and maintain marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, project sheets, and resumes to support our branding and outreach efforts.
- Opportunity Tracking: Identify and monitor new business opportunities by keeping an eye on key procurement sites for clients and agencies.
- Market Research: Compile and analyze research on key clients, industry trends, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
- Proposal Archiving: Manage the archiving and tracking of proposals and business development opportunities to ensure easy access and reference.
- Metrics Reporting: Track win rates and report performance metrics to the Marketing Manager, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of graphic standards to maintain a cohesive and recognizable brand identity.
- Event Support: Organize and support conferences, sponsorships, and key client events, including recommending participation and managing within budget parameters.
- Promotional Activities: Assist with planning and executing promotional booths, industry fairs, golf tournaments, mixers, and other local events throughout the year.
- Marketing Assistance: Support advertising efforts, including social media, website updates, brochures, and email campaigns.
- Collateral Management: Maintain and order departmental collateral, promotional items, and branded apparel.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to enhance the proposal process, refine copy, and update templates for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Graphic Design, Literature, or a related field is required; Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a General Contractor, Subcontractor, Engineering, Architecture, or Design firm in the built environment.
- Experience with Unanet CRM software is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
- Proven ability to proactively address challenges with creative and effective solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Ability to perform efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment, facilitating input from various stakeholders while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Deadline-driven with a proactive attitude toward follow-up and ensuring milestones are met.
- Positive, self-motivated, and a quick learner with a can-do attitude. Ability to work well with diverse personality types while maintaining professionalism.
- Participation in local A/E/C organizations is a plus, with a willingness to attend industry events and professional mixers.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude, self-motivation, and the ability to handle multiple deadlines under pressure.
- This is a full-time, in-person position based in our Lafayette, CA office, with occasional travel to our San Francisco office for meetings and industry events. A hybrid work schedule is not an option for this role. Includes allowance for travel expense reimbursement.
Pay Range: $75K to $125k annual salary, depending on experience. The position is FLSA Exempt
