Being a Business Development Manager, Sr. establishes team targets and metrics to measure the achievement of objectives. Develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Additionally, Business Development Manager, Sr. makes suggestions for new product offerings or improvements to sales or marketing efforts. May administer or negotiate new business proposals and prepare contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Development Manager, Sr. typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.     Job Description

    The Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a vital role, reporting directly to the Business Unit Manager, and is crucial for long-term business growth. With exceptional business acumen and interpersonal skills, the BDM influences internal teams and serves as the product sales expert, driving industry expertise and leadership. Responsibilities include building relationships, product training, pricing strategies, and participating in trade shows and innovation initiatives. This role also involves sharing progress reports, maintaining transparency, and serving as part of the company's succession planning for future leadership roles, including National Sales Manager.

    Job Requirements:

    • Conduct comprehensive industry research to craft effective sales strategies and solutions.
    • Actively promote our company's products and services to prospective clients.
    • Engage in collaborative business meetings to keep key stakeholders updated.
    • Provide ongoing, constructive feedback to the sales team to enhance performance.
    • Scrutinize sales contracts to ensure compliance with legal and corporate standards.
    • Foster client interactions and respond to inquiries regarding our products and services, ensuring customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications

    • Experience with Food Equipment market, Rep Groups, and Dealers.
    • Ideally knowledgeable on commercial ventilation.
    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or engineering
    • Competitive and open-minded professional
    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
    • Proven success in sales and promotion in a dealer environment
    • Strong analytical and budgeting skills
    • Exceptional time management and results orientation
    • Effective communication and presentation skills
    • Track record of driving substantial sales growth
    • Expertise in business and sales growth techniques
    • Exceptional project management abilities
    • Enthusiastic about company growth
    • Strong negotiation and networking skills
    • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in sales.
