Business Development Officer (Select Customer) develops and implements select customer referral strategies in order to increase client satisfaction and portfolio growth for affluent professional customers. Responsible for initial relationship and follow-up with prospects. Being a Business Development Officer (Select Customer) represents the bank to current and prospective customers and communicates directly with them. Develops and executes marketing and sales strategies according to business objectives. Additionally, Business Development Officer (Select Customer) prepares and presents sales results to top management. Retains and expands existing customer relationships and acquires new customers. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Business Development Officer (Select Customer) contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.   • Essential Duties
    • Identify, cultivate, and solicit new annual leadership and major gifts, and build and strengthen relationships with existing donors. In partnership with the Director of Development, execute fundraising strategies to meet annual total fundraising goals.
    • Coordinate individual cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities with the Director of Development and Alumni and other advancement team members
    • Maintain a portfolio of approximately 100-125 donor prospects.
    • Execute all phases of donor cultivation and stewardship.Maintains donor interest and enthusiasm through stewardship activities.
    • Assist with areas of marketing strategies and solicitations.
    • Participate in University events targeting a variety of constituents including but not limited to alumni, donors, and community leaders.
    • Perform other duties as related to the mission of the Office of Development and Alumni.
    Minimum Qualifications
    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree required, MUW alumni preferred
    • Three years of fundraising experience preferably in higher education, sales or marketing experience, or related field

    Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:
    • Must be able to work independently as well as part of team
    • Must have outstanding oral and written skills as well as excellent interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to operate in complete confidentiality protecting the interests of donors and alumni
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
    • Experience with Raiser’s Edge or another CRM preferred
    • Ability to travel frequently to include weeknights and work occasional weekends
    • Valid driver’s license required
